Given the political, environmental, and health issues facing the world today, it is no wonder that depression and anxiety are on the rise. Do you oftentimes feel overwhelmed or helpless in your life? Symptoms of depression include a sense of doom, loneliness, or hopelessness that persist throughout the day. Symptoms of anxiety include an inability to focus, sleep, or accomplish daily activities because of obsessive thoughts and fears. Having an empathic therapist is helpful in alleviating depression and anxiety.
Do you feel out of place, or uncertain about who you are? Does this uncertainty interfere with making life choices? Our identity is a complex interaction between society and the individual. One of the biggest reasons people suffer from depression, anxiety, and a multitude of other psychological ailments is due to negative beliefs and stories about ourself. I can help you revise these stories so they become self enriching.
